Become a Co-op member (costs £1), choose Bradford North Foodbank as your local cause and you can donate to us at no additional cost to yourself when you shop at Bolton Road Co-op and Eccleshill Co-op or use the Co-op Funeral Service at Five Lane Ends over the next six months (Sept-16 to Mar-17).
The Co-op Local Community Fund is how this happens: every time Co-op members buy selected Co-op branded products and services, 1% of their spend goes to a local cause. The more members spend, the more money goes to causes in their area.
Money from sales of reusable carrier bags, and the 5 pence legal charge on carrier bags (where applicable) has been used to kick start the funding for our cause.
All monies raised will go towards helping local people, whom local professionals identify as being in need of one or more food parcels. We also provide a listening and signposting service to support and empower foodbank users as they engage with the root causes of their crisis.
