New Foodbank Centre Coming Soon

17th November 2016

Trinity church in Rawdon have supported us with food, finance and volunteers since we started.  Now they plan on opening a weekly foodbank centre on Mondays 11am – 1.30pm, starting on January 16th 2017.  Trinity have been looking for new ways to serve their local area and research has shown that there are people in crisis in LS19.

The A658 trunk road provides a link between BD2, BD10 and LS19, passing our St Luke’s Church Foodbank Centre, our warehouse and then Trinity Rawdon on its way to Harrogate and beyond, so a Rawdon-based church choosing to be part of Bradford North Foodbank does make logistical sense!  The 747 Bradford – airport- Harrogate bus travels along the A658 providing public transport for those who need it.

Enthusiastic volunteers are busy preparing the foodbank centre, seeking out Leeds-based organisations to issue food vouchers and learning how to run the centre.  If you would like to know more or want to help our foodbank in anyway, please contact us.
