New Foodbank Centre Opened Today (16/1/2017)

16th January 2017

Trinity Rawdon Foodbank Centre went live today, Monday January 16th 2017.  After weeks of preparation, with an intensive training day last week, seven new volunteers and one experienced volunteer opened the doors at 11am.

The Trinity team have set up a welcoming, warm, cafe-style foodbank centre, where local people with one of our orange food vouchers may come to collect a food parcel containing three days of food for themselves and any dependents living with them.  Food vouchers are held by local professional and voluntary organisations that are on the front-line, supporting local people in need.

This additional foodbank centre will help Bradford North Foodbank reach more people in crisis, providing short-term food aid and, just as important, opportunities to listen and then empower visitors to move closer to a secure financial future.

Many thanks to Trinity Rawdon church for the use of their building and for their enthusiasm in setting up this new emergency food distribution point.
