Asda are running a national food drive, under the banner ‘Fight Hunger Create Change’ to benefit two charities that aim to reduce food poverty in the UK: the Trussell Trust Foodbank Network and Fareshare.
Asda Shipley has been partnered with Bradford North Foodbank, so there is now an unmanned supermarket trolley beyond the checkouts, where customers can donate food to us. We provide 3 days of emergency food to people referred to us by local statutory and voluntary sector organisations such as Job Centre Plus, advice centres, health visitors, some schools, children’s centres and housing associations.
