Coronavirus Safeguarding Procedures at our Foodbank Centres

7th August 2020

From 21st March 2022, the following measures will apply:

  1. Clients attending any of our Foodbank Distribution Centres must be referred or have a voucher issued by a Referral Agency.  Any specialist dietary requirements (e.g. gluten-free, vegetarian) should be made & highlighted in the referral request.
  2. Emergency food parcels may  be issued at any of our Foodbank Distribution Centres in response to a crisis on a one off basis only.
  3. Clients should present their e-voucher number at the entrance of the FBC on arrival.
  4. On arrival, you will be offered a warm and friendly space to relax in. One of our volunteers will sit with you, (if you would like) to discuss your situation and try to signpost you onto local organisations who can help or support you.
  5. Help & support may also be available form specialist advisors in our FBC’s please ask for more details

We need to continue to ensure we are taking the greatest precautions possible to help safeguard both clients and foodbank volunteers from the risk of Covid.   This way we can continue to serve those in need.
