Our Harvest Appeal is a vital moment in the year when schools, churches, workplaces and community groups come together to support local people facing hunger and hardship. Every item donated helps a neighbour in crisis, and your generosity makes a real difference.
How You Can Take Part
Organise a Harvest Food Collection
Whether you’re a school, church, workplace or community group, hosting a Harvest collection is one of the most powerful ways to support local people in crisis. Your donations help us keep shelves stocked and respond quickly when families need us most.
Donate Essential Items
Every tin, packet and jar makes a difference. Your Harvest gifts help ensure we have the right food available when people come to us for support.
Donate Money
Financial donations are just as vital as food. They help us keep our van on the road, maintain essential equipment, and act fast when we run out of key items. Your generosity also supports new projects that strengthen our services and help people move out of crisis more quickly. What We Most Need This Harvest
Our Harvest appeal poster shows the items that we most urgently need for you to circulate so everyone knows what to give. We ask people to donate shopping bags with their items – bags being another much-needed item at food banks!
Food banks work with non-perishable food items (tinned and dried goods), which do not spoil. All items should be unopened, in date and in good condition. We also accept toiletries and hygiene products, helping people in crisis to maintain dignity.
How to Deliver Your Harvest Donations
We’d be incredibly grateful if you were able to deliver your donations directly to our warehouse. We’re open to receive donations on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday between 9.00 am and 2.00 pm. If you’d prefer to drop off outside these hours, just get in touch - we’re happy to arrange a suitable time.
If you’d like us to collect your donation, please contact us as early as possible so we can schedule a pickup. Kindly note that this may require storing the food at your premises for a few days until collection is arranged.
